Islamabad - 125th Anniversary and Pakistan Student Congress 2009

Islamabad - IEEE Celebrated its 125th Anniversary on 13th May 2009. The year 2009 has dozens of exciting activities planned worldwide. Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad Section also planned various events. Moreover, 3rd IEEE Pakistan Student Congress was held at NUST Islamabad. Pakistan Student Congress is rotated between the 3 Sections (Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad). Surprise Birthday Party and Cake Cutting was also done during PSC 2009.

Pakistan Student Congress 2009 - Day 3 & Closing [May 31, 2009]

On the third day of IEEE PSC 2009, Ravendar Lal (GINI Coordinator, Pakistan) , Me and Om talked about generating funds earlier in the morning which was followed by WIE Congress (covered separately). Mr. Amir Zahoor (SSR, IEEE Lahore Section) conducted an IEEE Leadership Training Workshop whereas Arsalan Bajwa discussed how to handle finances of events which was followed by Lunch for all the participants. After Lunch, Feedback Responses were given. Mr. AVM Saleem Tariq, Dr. Arshad Ali, Om Perkash, Me and Dr. Shahab distributed certificates amongst the IEEE Pakistan Student Congress delegates. The closing ceremony of the Pakistan Student Congress 2009 and NUST Olympiad 2009 was held at the SCEE Auditorium, NUST Islamabad. Dr. Muhammad Akbar (An IEEE Fellow) and Member of IEEE Islamabad Section ExCom. Mr. Aamir Jelani (Counselor, IEEE NSEECS and Chair Electronic Communication, Isb Section) presented three day summary of the event to the audience. Dr. Muhammad Akbar gave shields to all the PSC 2009 Speakers and Organizers. He also distributed prizes amongst the NUST Olympiad's Winners. This fabulous event ended at around 6:30 p.m. on a tribute to organizers and NSEECS Faculty.
